Welcome to our Pop-Up Shop, where we offer live and unshucked oysters from Franklin Harbour at wholesale prices! We’re excited to appear in various locations in Adelaide and its outer suburbs and towns. Currently we have sites in Adelaide Hills, Port Willunga, Victor Harbor, Murray Bridge, Barossa Valley and Renmark.

 

Our live, unshucked oysters are not just any oysters. They are sourced from the pristine waters of Franklin Harbour, Eyre Peninsula, ensuring unrivalled freshness and flavour. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or a curious epicurean, our premium oysters offer a unique taste of coastal indulgence. Our operation is quite simple and straightforward. Place your order online, come on down to the pick-up point, have a yarn, and leave with your fresh oysters. That’s it! We also have a delivery option, so you can sit back and relax and let us bring them to your doorstep.

FAQ

Our oysters are grown in the pristine waters of Franklin Harbour, Eyre Peninsula by Cowell Seafood Producers. 

Our oysters are harvested on Thursdays, which means you are getting your oysters as fresh as they can possibly be. 

We only provide live and unshucked oysters as we believe this is the key to ensuring maximum quality and freshness when it reaches your table. 

We recommend you store your live oysters between 5 and 9 degrees. If you have already shucked them, we recommend you serve them on a bed of ice, or below 4 degrees to maximise their longevity.

Oysters are good for around 8-9 days from their harvest date, but they’re best consumed within 1 – 3 days.

We have plenty!

  • For natural oysters, we recommend shucking them from the side of the shell instead of the hinge.
  • If serving natural, serve on a bed of ice to keep them chilled.
  • Our favourite toppings are fresh lemon, shallot vinaigrette and a classic mignonette.
  • A glass of bubbles alongside is nothing short of heaven.
  • Get creative! We’ve experimented with all sorts, but our favourite creation was pickled oysters, served on a large crunchy garlic crouton, with a drop of kewpie, thinly sliced spring onion, and some finger lime.

Yes, absolutely. If you are allergic to shellfish or crustaceans, we advise you not to consume our produce.
